WELCOME TO BIG SKY
A TOWN BUILT ON HISTORY
A beautiful place such as Big Sky, Montana, didn't come from the easiest of beginnings. However, I'm sure the collective census will agree that everyone wants to make sure their beloved town stays beautiful. Today, that still rings true and would make good ol' Clovis Deveraux proud to see what it has become since the town created where he served as the first mayor of Big Sky! And no matter where you look, you can see the beauty in the town. From the view of the mountains to every store on Main Street, there's always something to see. If you ask me, someone who was born and raised in Big Sky, I'm always seeing something different even after all these years!
Big Sky was founded in 1893 and has seen its fair share of ups and downs, but mostly the city has done nothing but grow into what it is today: 131 years later. Visitors to Big Sky can enjoy the perks of living in a friendly place with access to a top-notch ski resort for their recreational enjoyment. There are plenty of places to shop and eat as well as an amazing theater! There's truly something to always peak your interest while you visit! Locals have the added bonus of enjoying exceptional schools for their children in Kindergarten through 12th grade! Once they're done with their first 12 years of school, they can move on to the award-winning Big Sky University to further their education while staying close to home!
No matter what it is though, Big Sky has it all that one would need or even possibly want! I know that I don't plan on leaving this beautiful place. As I was born and raised here, I aspire to also make sure my children and their children are also born and raised right here in this beautiful piece of Montana!
I hope you never lose your sense of wonder You get your fill to eat but always keep that hunger May you never take one single breath for granted
God forbid love ever leave you empty-handed I hope you still feel small when you stand beside the ocean Whenever one door closes, I hope one more opens Promise me that you'll give faith a fighting chance And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance
I hope you dance (dance) I hope you dance (dance)
I hope you never fear those mountains in the distance Never settle for the path of least resistance Livin' might mean takin' chances, but they're worth takin' Lovin' might be a mistake, but it's worth makin' ~I Hope you Dance by Lee Ann Warwick

I am the creative one. I love dancing, photography, and art. They are my creative muses and outlets in life. I love visiting my family's shop and working there after school. I love to do crafts like cross stitch, making origami art, and other creative areas. I am loyal to my family, and I will always have their back. I will always stand by what I believe in and say to other people. I am also kind and caring, as I will try to help those who need it.
On the negative side, I have a temper. It will take a lot to push a few of my buttons, but you don't want to see my angry side. That includes picking on my siblings or friends. I will always have their back, and I will never cross them. However, the other person will only have one chance before I refuse to help. I am stubborn. I will not take no for an answer. I am clever, as I can think of complicated tasks or plans that may surprise someone. I am also impulsive, as I tend to think about my desires instead of my actions first.

History
Of local origin from the lands of Primrose in the parish of Dunfermline. The first appearance of the place name is c. 1150, when it occurs in a charter of the Abbey of Dunfermline under the form Primros . The exact meaning of the name, which also occurs in Berwickshire, may be "tree of the moor," from Old Welsh or Rritish prenn, "tree," and rhos, "moor." As a surname Primrose is not common. The first of the name in record appears to have been Jonne Prymros or Primros, mason in Edinburgh, one of the parties who contracted in 1387 for the building of five chapels on the south side of St. Giles s parish church, Edinburgh. Archibald Prymrose was a friar in the monastery of Culross in 15G9 , and in 1608 payment was .nde to a James Prymroiss in Aberdeen. Gilbert Prymeose, "clerk of His Maiesties secreit counsaill" in 1631 was ancestor of Archibald Primrose of Carrington who was created Viscount Primrose in 1700 and earl of Rosebery in 1703. The Primroses first appear on record as owners of lands in and about the middle of the sixteenth century. Many Scots emigrated to Sweden in the seventeenth century, and among them was a John Primeroose, afterwards merchant in Stockholm, whose son Henry was ennobled in 1653 and died governor of Johannesburg in 1668. Rev. James Primrose published a history of Mediaeval Glasgow in 1913. Prymrois 1587, Prymross 1687.
In 1900 Milan Primrose moved his little family to Big Sky Montana, having heard of it through others in Scotland that had family there. Settling there he and his sons built them a store. A store that became known as Primrose Passions. Their grand opening was in 1908. Milan and his sons became infatuated with the motorcycles that the Wild Wolves rode. Becoming fast friends with the club he and his sons were invited to prospect after they had bought their own Harley’s and learned to ride.
In 1915 Milan built onto the store adding a Masquerade store. Masks, gowns and all costumes made by the Primrose family. Milan was the one who started the annual Primrose Ball in the mansion he helped build stone by stone brought over from his homeland of Scotland that he dearly missed. He was happy here though with his family that was branching out.
By 1925 the Primrose’s had made a name for themselves, and people from far and wide came to their store or used their mail order catalog to order from. Their lotions were a household name, and women sought them out to get their hands on the lotions and perfumes and other things that the family made with their own hands.
The Primrose family originates from Scotland. In the late 1600's early 1700's a few families immigrated to the United States. Others followed over time, but the Primrose family were the first in Big Sky. The Primrose family stayed true to their heritage. Aurora Cain married into the Primrose family only to have two children, before her husband disappeared in the woods one day. His body was found days later. Some considered foul play with the Hearthstones. That he'd gotten too close to them somehow in his looking for ingredients to his lotions. A blow to the head is what killed him. Aurora held her head high and continued on running the business alone as her husband had been an only child and his parents had died when he was in his teens leaving him alone. Her children grew and had children of their own so she wasn't so alone anymore with lots of grandchildren as well as her two children Ryker Primrose and Rosa Marie Primrose Hearthstone.
The Hearthstones were another family that came to Big Sky shortly after the Primroses. For some reason they had a feud between their families that went back generations in Scotland. No one seemed to remember what the cause of it was. So, for generations it was that way till the day that Kale Ambrose Hearthstone and Rosa Marie Primrose fell totally in love as kids. It was love at first sight for them. Knowing they weren't even supposed to talk let alone be seen together they did anyhow in secret. Aurora says she knew right away that her daughter had fallen for a Hearthstone. No matter how secretive she was about it.
Ryker found out when they were teenagers, and he got into a knock down drag out fight with Kale. Rosa just stood there and watched letting them parley with one another. When it was over, and they were both on the ground trying to catch their breath she told them both what was what along with the rest of the Hearthstone clan that had been egging it on. They didn't back down till she got really pissed and started shooting arrows of fire at them. They said Aurora just sat on the porch of the store rocking in her rocking chair and laughing as she watched. Even as her own son was in the line of fire. Rosa did win that showdown, and it brought peace between the two families for at least a few years.
The Hearthstones always seemed to think they were bigger and better than anyone in Big Sky. One by one they moved away to LA. Kale and Rosa soon followed them leaving Big Sky behind. Ryker and Kale who never really did get along did so just to keep the peace for the sake of Rosa. After being in LA for a while Rosa started to hound her mother and brother to let her open a store there in LA. In their father’s will though it stated that there was to be no other store than the one there in Big Sky, and he wanted them to keep their word that it would stay that way.
People who sought them out already knew where to find them. Ingredients were sacred to Big Sky, and nowhere else, it became a battle between them with Rosa being spurred by the Hearthstones. In a court of law though Aurora and Ryker won the case. Rosa, who was not happy about being shut out, turned her back on them, and they haven’t spoken since. Oh, a spiteful letter will come once in a while, but not that often. Ryker only wishes to honor his father’s wishes, and he’ll do anything even have that wedge between him and his sister to do so.
My name is Pandora Grace Primrose. My father is Ryker Primrose, and my mother is Emerald Primrose. I was born on a cold October day, right before the approach of Halloween. It was late autumn when the leaves on the trees had changed colors. I am the baby of the family. I was born happy and curious about the world. I have three older brothers and three older sisters. They are Haven, Flint, Blaze, Valeria, Vesper, and Milan. By now, my parents had plenty of experience taking care of newborns. Our house was always loud, and there was never any privacy. But I wouldn't have changed it for anything, as this is my family.
Growing up in Big Sky, Montana, was a lot of fun. I had plenty of siblings to play with. On nice days, we were usually sent outside to play with other kids. I remember spending a lot of time at my family's store, Primrose Passions. The shop has been in the family for a long time, since the 1900s, and it still stands strong. I remember playing there like it was a playground.
When I was four years old, I received my first minibike. I started riding around the front yard and learned how to easily ride it. I enjoyed riding on the Deveraux track with my siblings. Then I moved to Motocross. I would challenge friends and family to race, and I have many trophies on my shelves to proclaim my victories.
I was also interested in riding horses. I love to ride and have the free mountain air in my hair. I love to visit the horses, and I learned to ride them. At this time, I also became interested in photography. Taking pictures of horses and the scenery in Big Sky, Montana, is breathtaking. Some of the pictures are hanging on the wall in my room.
When I got to junior high, I tried out for sports. I tried sports like volleyball, tennis, and cheerleading. I made the team for volleyball and tennis. I managed to make the squad for cheerleading. I continued them into high school. I work at the family store on the weekends and after school, as long as it doesn't interfere with my other activities.
I am in high school now and enjoying my classes. I have figured out what I want to do in life after I graduate. I want to work full-time at Primrose Passions, and I hope to make my family proud.

The night was young as Damien felt a chill in the air. He stepped outside feeling winter's grasp still on them but barely. It would not be long before Spring came around and welcomed the new season without question. He was growing weary of the cold winter months, while his werewolf form didn't seem to mind it. He was protected with warm fur that could survive the elements of the cold with no problem. The last bit of snow had melted, while a little bit of frost still clung to the windows. The cold nights were numbered as the warmth would eventually take over.
As Damien stepped out, he had his phone in hand. He had a book in another looking at old astrology charts. The paper was worn with age with a handful of tears from on the sides, as they had scrawled pieces of notes written on it. Because of this, Damien was able to see and recognize some of the planets in the sky as he could point out where he was. Then the moon phases on another page as he flipped through the papers that he had. Damien knew in a couple of weeks, his werewolf form would come out. He still had time. It didn't bother him that much now.
"I see now, so that's where we are. The moon is, half full and will not change for a while." Damien said as that was calming enough. His own home in Quincy had been a small apartment that he had rented out for a couple of months ahead of time. To have his roof over his head was rewarding, and he had enjoyed it. As he began to walk down the streets, there was a nearby park that he could frequent. He smelled the damp air like a storm might come later that night. Along with the few scents of people who had been out that night walking their dogs or heading home. Damien had left Freki back in the apartment for a short amount of time. As he would be back in. And he'd never forget his companion.
