WELCOME TO BIG SKY
A TOWN BUILT ON HISTORY
A beautiful place such as Big Sky, Montana, didn't come from the easiest of beginnings. However, I'm sure the collective census will agree that everyone wants to make sure their beloved town stays beautiful. Today, that still rings true and would make good ol' Clovis Deveraux proud to see what it has become since the town created where he served as the first mayor of Big Sky! And no matter where you look, you can see the beauty in the town. From the view of the mountains to every store on Main Street, there's always something to see. If you ask me, someone who was born and raised in Big Sky, I'm always seeing something different even after all these years!
Big Sky was founded in 1893 and has seen its fair share of ups and downs, but mostly the city has done nothing but grow into what it is today: 131 years later. Visitors to Big Sky can enjoy the perks of living in a friendly place with access to a top-notch ski resort for their recreational enjoyment. There are plenty of places to shop and eat as well as an amazing theater! There's truly something to always peak your interest while you visit! Locals have the added bonus of enjoying exceptional schools for their children in Kindergarten through 12th grade! Once they're done with their first 12 years of school, they can move on to the award-winning Big Sky University to further their education while staying close to home!
No matter what it is though, Big Sky has it all that one would need or even possibly want! I know that I don't plan on leaving this beautiful place. As I was born and raised here, I aspire to also make sure my children and their children are also born and raised right here in this beautiful piece of Montana!
When you’re weak, I’ll be strong When you let go, I’ll hold on.

I can come across as arrogant, but it's just because I take pride in my appearance. I don't see that as a bad thing, but I guess people can think otherwise. I am not arrogant though, at least in my opinion. I'm very protective of my brother too. We've lost our parents when we were young so I had to grow up a little faster than I probably ever should have. Thankfully, family stepped in to raise us. I'm extremely loyal and will do anything for those that I'm loyal to. I can be quite overprotective, especially of my brother. I'm guarded and don't normally let others in very easily, but when I do, it's because I care a great deal about you and consider you an actual friend. The other most important person in my life is my girlfriend, Cammie. She's everything to me as well and I'm completely in love with her.
My parents, Zoologists, Zevidiah Randolph Silverling and Zarah Deveraux, got together when they attended high school as they both had similar interests, and fell in love. She and Zev were finally married and a couple of years later their oldest son Zevran was born. They doted on him for three years before they had another son that they named Zane. Their boys were everything to them, and they loved them more than life.
I am their oldest son and my name is Zevran Rafe Silverling. I was a happy baby that had a bit of a higher maintenance than they would expect from a baby, but they loved me all the same. I was three when my brother was born and I couldn't have been a happier kid. Everything shifted and I was always trying to help with my little brother. Just like I was, my brother seemed to be fearless as well. I would get into just about anything and everything and, much to my mother's horror sometimes, I'd be the one that climbed as high as I could so I could see further away. My dad didn't seem to see the issue in me exploring the way I did but he would go after me to get me to settle my mother down. But she loved that I was so curious and brave at the same time. My father seemed to be quite proud as well with everything that I accomplished.
When I was four, I got a mini bike and I would tear up the camp riding it. When I graduated to a dirt bike, I tore it up even more! I didn't compete in Motocross since we traveled all the time, but I had a dirt bike anyway. My dad was in the Wild Wolves MC, so he wanted to make sure that I knew how to ride. And though I didn't compete in Motocross, he did say that if I wanted to when they had the time between traveling, he'd make sure I was able to compete. That never crossed my mind though because I was having too much fun with my brother and parents.
My parents traveled for work and they would take my brother and I with them. That's where I got my love of animals from. I would be in awe of the animals that they'd find and study for work. The more dangerous the animal though, the more intrigued I was, but I learned very early on that there are animals that you do not just try to run amok around and there were other animals that gave you a bit more grace when it came to being around them. Because of all the traveling, I was homeschooled and I absolutely loved it. I was able to do all of the work needed at my own pace for the most part and have fun the rest of the time. I would sometimes get an entire semester's worth of work done within a week just so I could have more fun.
Life was great until I was about 10 and Zane was about seven. We had traveled to Arizona to find an endangered bird located in the southwestern United States. It was the last time we would spend with our parents. While we were still in Arizona about a week later, someone attacked our parents while Zane and I went to explore and play. We heard our mother's screams, and ran back to camp. I stopped Zane and pulled him back to hide when we saw our parents weren’t alone. We were peeking through the foliage and saw our parents killed. It was quiet in the camp, with no voices or anything, except it sounded like someone breaking things. I had to keep my hand over Zane's mouth since he was trying to ask questions, and wanting to know what was going on. After what seemed like an eternity the man got into a vehicle and left. I still waited, trying to make sure they were really gone before I told Zane to stay put and I went to investigate. After not hearing anything else from where I snuck up to, I got Zane and walked the rest of the way into the camp to find everything on fire and our parents laying dead on the ground. I was absolutely devastated and couldn't figure out why someone would want to hurt my parents. I knew if Zane and I were still in the camp, we would've had the same fate, but here we were, having to deal with the loss.
We were miles from the nearest town and had no way to get to it. We had our dirt bikes still, but I had no idea which way to go and didn't think we would have enough gas to even get there. We knew our parents checked in with their friends, and mom's siblings once a week, and vice versa. If one didn't hear from the other then they would know something was wrong. In a couple of days my parents were supposed to check in. They had a satellite phone that they used, but we couldn't even find that, thinking it had been burnt up. We found what we could to eat out of what wasn't on fire so that we would have something to eat. Our parents hadn't just taught us about animals, but how to survive too. It was three days later that friends of our parents, and our Aunt Eloise and Uncle Clay Swanson found us, and took us somewhere safe. I had tried getting my brother to talk to me, but it seemed like he had shut down. I really couldn't blame him though. I was devasted as well, but I couldn't shut down myself. I had to make sure we were alright. Their funeral was just days later in Big Sky, Montana where we had been born.
We were taken in by our Uncle Clay and Aunt Eloise Swanson. Eloise was mom's older sister. Our Uncle Tristan Deveraux helped out as well. We would actually spend a lot of time at Uncle Tristan's ranch. Uncle Clay and Aunt Eloise had a lot of girls, so they let us stay overnight a lot at Uncle Tristan's who had a lot of boys. Nothing against girls, they're amazing, but yeah, when it came to the girls in my family, they could be a lot, and not always in a good way. I loved all of my cousins though, no matter what.
It was a bit of living with our aunt and uncle and cousins before Zane finally spoke. I had made sure to keep him in the loop and included in things, but he still didn't really say anything. He confided in me one night exactly what was going on with him. I understood that he took it hard and that he picked up on other people's feelings. We stayed up most of the night reminiscing before we crashed and slept in late the next day.
After losing my parents, I had more time on my hands to think of things I wanted to do. I did start competing in Motocross, starting later than just about everyone else I knew, but I was a natural. I was more of a daredevil than really anyone. I think because of having wide open space and no track really to practice on in my travels, it really helped when I was put on a track. I knew how to handle the jumps and turns easier than some of the others my age. I won trophies and everything in the sport because of that.
When I was in Junior High, which my homeschooling days were over with too when my parents were killed, I signed up for sports as well. I didn't hold back and ended up excelling in football, baseball, basketball, and even wrestling. And when I went into high school, it was the same thing all over again, going to state and even winning in wrestling and helping my team win in football, baseball, and basketball as well. I didn't like hockey as much because I didn't feel as sure footed, but it was an alright sport to try.
I also started dating my best girl friend, Camden Falcon, when we were in the eighth grade. She really was the only girl I ever became interested in like that. A lot of the other girls were too girly that were my age, but Cammie was not afraid to get down and dirty with Motocross or anything else really. She was beautiful inside and out and that's what really drew me to her. While we did fool around while we dated, it wasn't until we were 16 when we made love together. It was definitely my first time and it was more than I had ever hoped it would be like and was glad I shared it with her. It was the 4th of July and we had the entire open night sky with fireworks lighting it up, figuratively and literally!
An actual school setting was a little harder for me since I couldn't work at the pace I really wanted, but I managed to graduate without to many problems. And while I did think about college, I ended up going into bounty hunting instead with the hope of figuring out who exactly killed my parents and getting my revenge on them. I know bounty hunting is really going and collecting bounties, but when it comes to figuring out who killed my parents, I wouldn't hesitate to go rogue to get my revenge.
As for my relationship with my brother, I'm still very close with him. He's my best friend really and we work together. I know he wants to get his revenge as well for our parents and he's the only one I've ever expressed how easy it would be for me to go completely rogue if we ever did find their killers. To everyone else, I'm focused and damn good at my job. I now live with Cammie and Zane has a room at our place too. I couldn't be happier really. Well, the only way life would be perfect is if I could get revenge for my parents.

Logan got out of the shower and wrapped the towel around his waist after he dried his hair. He wiped the foggy mirror with his hand and quickly ran a brush through his short hair. He wasn't too worried about styling it, since he was just going to mess it up anyway after he pulled a shirt over his head.
Instead, he walked out of the bathroom and over to the little dresser where he put what little clothes he could stuff in his saddle bags, an extra pair of pants and a couple of shirts plus some socks. He pulled the towel off of him and dropped it on the floor, not even caring if Angel, who was still asleep in his bed, woke up and saw him in the buff.
