WELCOME TO BIG SKY
A TOWN BUILT ON HISTORY
A beautiful place such as Big Sky, Montana, didn't come from the easiest of beginnings. However, I'm sure the collective census will agree that everyone wants to make sure their beloved town stays beautiful. Today, that still rings true and would make good ol' Clovis Deveraux proud to see what it has become since the town created where he served as the first mayor of Big Sky! And no matter where you look, you can see the beauty in the town. From the view of the mountains to every store on Main Street, there's always something to see. If you ask me, someone who was born and raised in Big Sky, I'm always seeing something different even after all these years!
Big Sky was founded in 1893 and has seen its fair share of ups and downs, but mostly the city has done nothing but grow into what it is today: 131 years later. Visitors to Big Sky can enjoy the perks of living in a friendly place with access to a top-notch ski resort for their recreational enjoyment. There are plenty of places to shop and eat as well as an amazing theater! There's truly something to always peak your interest while you visit! Locals have the added bonus of enjoying exceptional schools for their children in Kindergarten through 12th grade! Once they're done with their first 12 years of school, they can move on to the award-winning Big Sky University to further their education while staying close to home!
No matter what it is though, Big Sky has it all that one would need or even possibly want! I know that I don't plan on leaving this beautiful place. As I was born and raised here, I aspire to also make sure my children and their children are also born and raised right here in this beautiful piece of Montana!
If they say Who cares if one more light goes out? In the sky of a million stars It flickers, flickers Who cares when someone's time runs out? If a moment is all we are We're quicker, quicker Who cares if one more light goes out? Well I do

I used to come across as a player because I am always nice to the ladies. Before I started dating Angel, I'd flirt with them all. I lost my virginity at the age of 12 and I was hooked on girls. Now? I don't flirt with any of them, except my old lady. Trust me, I wouldn't want to piss her off anyway. I'm a family man. I love my family and would do anything for them. I also firmly believe that if you mess with my family, I'll be sure to eff you up in return. I like things fair, so if you come to fight, it better be just fists. My dad always told me, "There's nothing that can't be worked out with just two people and their fists." That's not saying I go around trying to find fights. I rather just be a lover myself, but there have been a few occasions. I also completely think my dad's right, except for one thing. If I have the chance to avenge my mother, I will do it with any means necessary.

History
The Delanceys of New York have a slightly complex history, yet it’s still very simple. The family started in France. They were a strong family who prided themselves on making sons to carry on their name. The daughters weren’t treated as well, but instead pretty much sold off to the highest bidder essentially, only being married off to the most powerful families they could find. This kept going until one Delancey male fell in love with an Italian woman from a poor family. His name was Louis Delancey and his beautiful Italian wife was Amalia De Agostini. He ran off with her and while they may have been able to live a happy life, finally one summer, his father and uncles found him and killed not only him, but his pregnant wife as well as the three children in the home.
That’s most likely where the story should end, but the enraged Delancey family made a miscalculation. They didn’t kill everyone. Louis and Amalia were pregnant with their fifth child. There was one that survived, having been in the field working the farm animals at the time of the attack. He was smart enough not to run towards the danger, but instead, he ran and hid in the barn under the floorboards to a secret underground room that was built just in case something like this happened. His name was Tommaso Delancey.
Tommaso was 15 at the time of the attack. He made his way to family nearby where they protected him and mourned for their murdered family members. When he graduated from school, he found passage to America. Once the ship docked in New York, he got to work, finding odd jobs everywhere he could. He was a smart man and knew how to save his money well.
When he was just 21, he met Lucia, a woman he fell deeply in love with. They fell in love quickly and married within a year. Their life was falling into place. She supported him as he worked to make their lives better than what he had. They were starting their family when he finally had enough money to buy a small store front on Delancey Street. He chose that street to find a business because of his name. Even though it was the Delanceys that had killed his own family, that was still his name and he had been raised to be proud of who he was. He wasn’t evil like the ones that took everything from him. He was a good man and he was determined to make sure everyone knew that he was nothing like the ones who had his namesake.
He was good with his hands and building things, so he turned the shop into a furniture store that sold items he made. He named it Delacey’s Custom Furniture. It was simple enough that when word got out at his quality work, the rich and famous stopped by because it seemed like a place they wouldn’t be hounded by paparazzi.
Tommaso and Lucia ended up having six children, the eldest two were twins, and the business was quite successful. Tommaso’s oldest twin,Frederico, inherited the business, and gave the younger twin, Bernardo, his blessing to attend the college he had been wanting to go to: Big Sky University in Montana. His other children stuck around New York or moved as far as Chicago with their families. Everyone was happy and the worries of the evil Delanceys in France faded away quickly. But, come to find out, that was because once Tomasso’s grandfather and uncles had died, the others seemed to be grateful and started to branch out and marry for love themselves.
Once Tomasso passed away, Frederico Delancey took over the old store on Delancey Street. He happily created furniture just as his father had done and when he married and his own family had started. His younger twin was happy in Montana, having just graduated and asked if he could open a store there, which his twin thought was a great idea for the business. Bernardo married and happily created furniture with the same quality he grew up knowing using everything his father had taught him.He thought the family business would end up having a name change since his brother Frederico’s wife was having trouble having children, but then they were blessed with a boy whom they named Tomasso after the boy’s grandfather. Bernardo, on the other hand, and his wife had three girls before finally they had a son whom they named Louis. And just as his father had blessed him with spreading his wings, he gave his son the choice to do the same and when he died, his son Louis made his choice easily.
Louis ran the business just as his father and grandfather in New York had before him. Even though he never met his own grandfather, he was happy that he had married a woman named Teresa and his first child was born, a son, who he named Matteo before his own father died. Bernardo lived until Matteo was 6 years old and then Louis became the owner of the business.
Louis and his wife had only three children, all boys, but he taught Matteo from an early age how things were done in the shop. He wanted to make sure the shop’s tradition stayed with the oldest son, just as it had been from the beginning. His two other sons created their own businesses, one as a restaurant owner and the other joining the FBI.
Matteo fell in love with a woman named Sofia and they married right after they graduated and within the first two years of marriage, their oldest child, a son, was born who they named Morris. Louis was ecstatic to have a grandson and was very much a part of teaching Morris how to create things like his family always had.
Two years after Morris was born, Matteo and Sofia had another son. They named him Oscar and the couple couldn’t have been happier. That happiness lasted until Louis finally died of a heart attack when Morris was just 4 years old.
Matteo took over as the owner of Delancey’s Custom Furniture and he carried on the quality work the business had come to be known for. His sons joined him at work from when they were very young. They only weren’t at the store if they were in school or doing school related things such as sports.
Matteo started to feel ill suddenly when Morris was just 20 years old. He was only 40 years old when he passed away. Morris was heartbroken, but he knew that he would do just as all the other oldest sons have done in the family. He took over without a second thought and let his younger brother make his own choice on what he wanted to do. He was a little surprised that he stuck around and helped him in the store. Even though Morris inherited the business, he looked at his brother as an equal in the business.
Morris grew up loved by his parents. He was loved by his grandfather for the first four years of his life before he died. He loved going to work with his father and learning how to do different things to create great pieces of furniture and cabinets. He soaked in as much of the information as he could and fell in love with building things.
He fell in love with a girl named Olivia in school. They were happy together the entire time and he planned on marrying her after graduating. His father thought the world of her even though he had never had the pleasure of meeting her. However, that engagement didn’t happen. Olivia ended up disappearing and Morris had no idea why.
He was heartbroken that she left the way she did without a trace. He tried looking for her for a year after graduating, but then ended up falling in love with another woman named Alex Torres. She was fresh out of the police academy and they were head over heels for each other. His father, however, suddenly became very ill and died just a couple of weeks after Morris and Alex began to date.
Morris was crushed. He relied on Alex’s love and support which she freely gave. He couldn’t rely as much on his own brother, because he was set to graduate that same year from school and he wanted him to be able to focus on what he wanted to do. He proposed to her just a few months later and the engagement didn’t last very long either. It was just a few months later that he married her. By the end of their first year of marriage together, they had their first child, a daughter named Jayden.
Morris had busied himself with work, just as his father and grandfather before him. He and Alex had trouble with pregnancies, having a few miscarriages before they finally had their son Logan three years after their daughter was born. With the birth of their son, tragedy hit Morris again. His wife was working her last shift before leaving for maternity leave when she was shot by a high ranking member of the Irish mob. Doctors were able to safely deliver their son a month early, but his wife died soon after the delivery, having been able to hang on long enough to hold him for a moment.
Morris was distraught again. He busied himself at work when one day a familiar face came into his store, his late wife’s best friend named Meghan Fuller. The two of them quickly hit it off and quickly married within a year. The two of them then went on and ended up having a total of three children together: a girl Jessica, followed by a boy Daniel, and then another little girl named Grace.
After his brother graduated from school though, two years after he graduated himself, he was surprised that he stuck around to help with the store. He figured it was because of their father passing away like he had and he never questioned his brother about it. He was happy to have his family with him. That’s where they are today, running the shop together. Even though it’s officially in Morris’s name, Oscar is an equal in the business. Oscar mostly handles the business side of it all while Morris continues on the legacy of quality furniture.
I wish I could have a happy birth story like a lot of poeple I know. Actually like most people I know, but I would be lying if I said I did. The baby that was saved after Alex had been shot was me. My name's Logan Matteo Delancey. She was taking maternity leave a month before my due date because she was having some issues with the pregnancy. Even then I was stubborn, I suppose. The head of the Irish Mob was picked up on a traffic charge or something. What he was doing in Big Sky, I have no idea, but he was wanted back in New York for questioning. Well, he managed to grab another cop's gun and shot, hitting my mom during that altercation. She was rushed to the hospital and in an effort to save me, and hopefully her, a c-section was performed. Well, the rest is basically, I survived and she didn't. My dad said she died soon after she got to hold me after I was born. I have a picture that I keep with me at all times of her holding me that day. Even though she knew she was dying, she still had a smile on her face, proud that she was holding me. I don't remember any of that, obviously, but I've heard the story, not by my dad's mouth, but by her best friend, Meghan Fuller, who stepped in to help dad with me and my older sister Jayden soon after my mom died.
Before I was a year old, my father and Meghan married having fallen in love with each other. Soon after, I was no longer the youngest Delancey kid, as I welcomed my sister Jessica to the family followed by my brother Daniel, and then the youngest Delancey, my sister Grace. I grew up learning that family always came first. And to this day, I still believe that. My siblings and I are pretty close. I am probably the most protective one out of us, but we all have our things. Jayden, my older sister is the motherly one, my sister Jessica is the tomboy, my brother Daniel is the quiet one, and my youngest sister Grace is the spoiled one.
Growing up, I spent a lot of time at my dad's shop. He owns Delancey's Custom Furniture, and it's quite well known around Big Sky and even all of Montana. It's not the only Delancey's Custom Furniture though, as there are Delanceys in New York where the first Delancey's Custom Furniture opened. However, my family tree has always been here in Big Sky since my great-great-great grandfather Bernardo Delancey. He came to Big Sky, Montana to attend college at Big Sky University. He had an older twin who took over Delancey's Custom Furniture in New York after their father passed away. Bernardo eventually opened a Delancey's Custom Furniture with the blessing of his twin in Big Sky, and the rest was basically history for him.
My father took over the shop after my grandfather Matteo Delancey passed away. Just like he did and his father before him and his father before him, he made sure to include me in the business. As the eldest male in the family, he expects to pass the business down to me when he passes away. I take the knowledge of that as I take everything else: Things are in this life for a reason. But I was completely amazed by the things that my father created and my interest in it has not faultered...much.
When I turned seven, my friends were getting dirtbikes and competing in Motocross. When they were younger, they got minibikes that I would be able to ride on occasion if they felt like sharing, but when they started doing Motocross, I went to my dad and asked him if I could get a dirtbike to do it too. I didn't have to beg, he always would give me and my siblings what we wanted if he could afford it, which money, as far as I can remember, has never been an issue. I happily tore up the track after getting my own dirtbike though! It became one of my favorite things and to this day, I still do love it as well.
Going through school, though, I don't know know if it was the fact that everyone knew the Delanceys and how my mother was tragically taken from us, or the fact that I was a pretty cute kid anyway, but girls always hung around me and I became a little flirt. My dad thought it was hilarious and my uncle Oscar who helped my dad with the business would try to give me pointers on getting a girl to be my girlfriend. I was never really interested in having an actual girlfriend though, but I sure loved to flirt.
Going through junior high, I joined football and hockey, loving those and loving the attention I got from the girls still. And that kept up going through high school as well, where I also played football and hockey. I was still flirting with all the girls, including getting into a couple of fights because some idiot couldn't his girlfriend taking a compliment from me. I tried not to flirt with girls that had boyfriends, though. The ones that I did end up flirting with, I didn't know they ended up getting a boyfriend in the 24 hours I last flirted with them.
I had a couple of girlfriends too, and when I was with them, I didn't flirt with other girls. My father would castrate me if I was playing the field like that. I was still friendly to them all, and my girlfriends at the time were always reassured that I wasn't flirting. I think that's why none of those relationships really lasted. I got tired of having to reassure them that I was completely theirs in the relationship and there would be no other girls, but I wasn't going to be rude to other girls at the same time. I was just off limits when it came to that when I had a girlfriend.
My senior year rolled around and I needed a date for Homecoming. I was up for Homecoming King, so it was expected that I was going to be there. Besides, I was on Varsity football and all the football players had to go anyway. Since I didn't have a girlfriend at the time, I was dared to ask Angel Forrester to Homecoming by a few of the guys. I grew up with the Forresters, so it wasn't like I didn't know who they were or anything and I considered them all friends. But there was something about Angel that made me nervous. I told them that no one would be good enough for her. It was meant as a compliment because in my opinion, she's grown up beautifully and had definitely started to fill out perfectly. I knew she was out of my league, but living up to my reputation, I still went for it.
I was completely honest with her, which I don't know why I was, but I told her, "Hey, just to let you know, the boys dared me to ask you to Homecoming, but I honestly doubt you'd even go for someone like me anyway. You're seriously beautiful and I could only hope you'd say yes." She burst out laughing in my face though and I sat there with my eyebrows raised wondering if I should just definitely turn and run for the hills. But then she gave me a kiss and walked off leaving me utterly confused. I hollered after her, "Is that a yes?" She turned around, shrugged, and then just kept walking though and it wasn't but a couple days later where she came up to me, told me the color of her dress and the color of the corsage I was supposed to get her.
I would be lying if I didn't say I was panicking inside when she kissed me and walked off again, but I held my composure well. That day after practice, I rushed to the florist in town and told them that I needed to have a specific color corsage and it needed to be ready for Homecoming. I paid extra because it was pretty busy for the florist with Homecoming, but I didn't care. I was not going to let my own reputation down, but more importantly, I didn't want to let Angel down.
Homecoming was fun, we won the game, I was crowned Homecoming King, and had a blast spoiling Angel, who was even more stunning in the dress she wore. We even had our first kiss when I took her home and I would be lying if I said I wasn't whooped from that kiss on! We've been dating ever since then as well, everyone knowing that she was my girl. For a change while dating her, she didn't get pissed if I was being nice to a girl. She knew that I only had eyes for her anyway.
That year seemed to fly by though. After football and hockey, I was kind of bored with the rest of the year. Then again, I did weed down what I needed to graduate so I could take a easier time my senior year. My hard work did pay off because the last semester of high school was absolutely boring because of it. The only reasons I really kept going to school was because I needed to so I could graduate and because I got to hang out with Angel during lunch and walk her to her next class. I didn't care that I was being teased that I was whipped at all.
Finally it was time for Prom. I went all out for a promposal for Angel too. I probably used too many balloons, but I'm sure everyone in the entire state of Montana heard her squeal when she opened her locker to see PROM? set up in pink letters with balloons behind it. She ended up Facetiming her mom right away to tell her all about it, even before she told me yes. And before I knew it, I was picking her up for prom, having rented a Hummer limo with my best friends and we all picked up our dates to pamper them with a fancy ride to prom. We had a blast at prom too, Reid and his date, Desi, the girl he really liked, getting King and Queen. When she kissed him, I couldn't help but laugh because of the look on his face after she pulled away.
The night was perfect. I was glad that I went all out to spoil Angel for Prom. That night was more than one to remember though as that was when we had our first time. I wasn't pushing for it at all, thinking that I'd just kiss her goodnight after dropping her back off at home, but she was the one pushing for it. I wasn't going to tell her no either. It was definitely magical in my opinion, having the most beautiful girl wanting me the way she was. At the end of the night, I did kiss her goodnight and knew that I was going to want to be with her for the rest of my life even back then.
When I turned 18 my senior year, I also prospected to the Wild Wolves MC. I didn't even care that I was getting shit jobs to do as a prospect because I was definitely happy with what my life was turning out to be. It was even better that I had not just my family at graduation, but the entire club cheering me on. I was pretty proud of myself for graduating too, but I wasn't not planning on college.
I ended up fully patching into the club a year after starting my prospecting and got a part time job as a mechanic as well as working with my dad at his workshop. I don't want to be responsible for it after he passes away, which I hope that's not for a long time still, but I know the family history with the oldest male getting the business, but I'm tempted to just say I don't want it, but I know that would upset my dad, so I'm just going along with it and if it does happen, I'll cherish it like my dad will want me to.

Logan got out of the shower and wrapped the towel around his waist after he dried his hair. He wiped the foggy mirror with his hand and quickly ran a brush through his short hair. He wasn't too worried about styling it, since he was just going to mess it up anyway after he pulled a shirt over his head.
Instead, he walked out of the bathroom and over to the little dresser where he put what little clothes he could stuff in his saddle bags, an extra pair of pants and a couple of shirts plus some socks. He pulled the towel off of him and dropped it on the floor, not even caring if Angel, who was still asleep in his bed, woke up and saw him in the buff.
