WELCOME TO BIG SKY
A TOWN BUILT ON HISTORY
A beautiful place such as Big Sky, Montana, didn't come from the easiest of beginnings. However, I'm sure the collective census will agree that everyone wants to make sure their beloved town stays beautiful. Today, that still rings true and would make good ol' Clovis Deveraux proud to see what it has become since the town created where he served as the first mayor of Big Sky! And no matter where you look, you can see the beauty in the town. From the view of the mountains to every store on Main Street, there's always something to see. If you ask me, someone who was born and raised in Big Sky, I'm always seeing something different even after all these years!
Big Sky was founded in 1893 and has seen its fair share of ups and downs, but mostly the city has done nothing but grow into what it is today: 131 years later. Visitors to Big Sky can enjoy the perks of living in a friendly place with access to a top-notch ski resort for their recreational enjoyment. There are plenty of places to shop and eat as well as an amazing theater! There's truly something to always peak your interest while you visit! Locals have the added bonus of enjoying exceptional schools for their children in Kindergarten through 12th grade! Once they're done with their first 12 years of school, they can move on to the award-winning Big Sky University to further their education while staying close to home!
No matter what it is though, Big Sky has it all that one would need or even possibly want! I know that I don't plan on leaving this beautiful place. As I was born and raised here, I aspire to also make sure my children and their children are also born and raised right here in this beautiful piece of Montana!

I'm pretty independent and speak my mind. I don't let anyone bully me and stick up for those being bullied. I've come home with a few bloody noses. If I see something I want I work for it. I don't expect it handed to me on a silver platter either. I can also be sarcastic so you better watch out. I'm definitely outgoing and try to break my own boundaries. Well, I am daddy's little girl! I'm sweet as can be! Or at least daddy thinks so! I'm not afraid to get dirty or anything either! I grew up with a little brother that was born about 11 months after me so that could be why. I can play rough just like the boys, but in the end, I'm always daddy's little girl! I also love dressing up and having fun with all my girl friends! Tea parties are never old with me! I have one every year for my birthday with all my closest friends where NO BOYS ARE ALLOWED! So all in all, I can get dirty without crying and I can still be girly when I want!

The Delanceys of New York have a slightly complex history, yet it’s still very simple. The family started in France. They were a strong family who prided themselves on making sons to carry on their name. The daughters weren’t treated as well, but instead pretty much sold off to the highest bidder essentially, only being married off to the most powerful families they could find. This kept going until one Delancey male fell in love with an Italian woman from a poor family. His name was Louis Delancey and his beautiful Italian wife was Amalia De Agostini. He ran off with her and while they may have been able to live a happy life, finally one summer, his father and uncles found him and killed not only him, but his pregnant wife as well as the three children in the home.
That’s most likely where the story should end, but the enraged Delancey family made a miscalculation. They didn’t kill everyone. Louis and Amalia were pregnant with their fifth child. There was one that survived, having been in the field working the farm animals at the time of the attack. He was smart enough not to run towards the danger, but instead, he ran and hid in the barn under the floorboards to a secret underground room that was built just in case something like this happened. His name was Tommaso Delancey.
Tommaso was 15 at the time of the attack. He made his way to family nearby where they protected him and mourned for their murdered family members. When he graduated from school, he found passage to America. Once the ship docked in New York, he got to work, finding odd jobs everywhere he could. He was a smart man and knew how to save his money well.
When he was just 21, he met Lucia, a woman he fell deeply in love with. They fell in love quickly and married within a year. Their life was falling into place. She supported him as he worked to make their lives better than what he had. They were starting their family when he finally had enough money to buy a small store front on Delancey Street. He chose that street to find a business because of his name. Even though it was the Delanceys that had killed his own family, that was still his name and he had been raised to be proud of who he was. He wasn’t evil like the ones that took everything from him. He was a good man and he was determined to make sure everyone knew that he was nothing like the ones who had his namesake.
He was good with his hands and building things, so he turned the shop into a furniture store that sold items he made. He named it Delancey's Custom Furniture. It was simple enough that when word got out at his quality work, the rich and famous stopped by because it seemed like a place they wouldn’t be hounded by paparazzi.
Tommaso and Lucia ended up having six children, the eldest two were twins, and the business was quite successful. Tommaso’s oldest twin, Frederico, inherited the business, and gave the younger twin, Bernardo, his blessing to attend the college he had been wanting to go to: Big Sky University in Montana. His other children stuck around New York or moved as far as Chicago with their families. Everyone was happy and the worries of the evil Delancey's in France faded away quickly. But, come to find out, that was because once Tommaso's grandfather and uncles had died, the others seemed to be grateful and started to branch out and marry for love themselves.
Once Tomasso passed away, Frederico Delancey took over the old store on Delancey Street. He happily created furniture just as his father had done and when he married and his own family had started. His younger twin was happy in Montana, having just graduated and asked if he could open a store there, which his twin thought was a great idea for the business. Bernardo married and happily created furniture with the same quality he grew up knowing using everything his father had taught him. He thought the family business would end up having a name change since his brother Frederico’s wife was having trouble having children, but then they were blessed with a boy whom they named Tomasso after the boy’s grandfather. Bernardo, on the other hand, and his wife had three girls before finally they had a son whom they named Louis. And just as his father had blessed him with spreading his wings, he gave his son the choice to do the same and when he died, his son Louis made his choice easily.
Louis ran the business just as his father and grandfather in New York had before him. Even though he never met his own grandfather, he was happy that he had married a woman named Teresa and his first child was born, a son, who he named Matteo before his own father died. Bernardo lived until Matteo was 6 years old and then Louis became the owner of the business.
Louis and his wife had only three children, all boys, but he taught Matteo from an early age how things were done in the shop. He wanted to make sure the shop’s tradition stayed with the oldest son, just as it had been from the beginning. His two other sons created their own businesses, one as a restaurant owner and the other joining the FBI.
Matteo fell in love with a woman named Sofia and they married right after they graduated and within the first two years of marriage, their oldest child, a son, was born who they named Morris. Louis was ecstatic to have a grandson and was very much a part of teaching Morris how to create things like his family always had.
Two years after Morris was born, Matteo and Sofia had another son. They named him Oscar and the couple couldn’t have been happier. That happiness lasted until Louis finally died of a heart attack when Morris was just 4 years old.
Matteo took over as the owner of Delancey’s Custom Furniture and he carried on the quality work the business had come to be known for. His sons joined him at work from when they were very young. They only weren’t at the store if they were in school or doing school related things such as sports.
Matteo started to feel ill suddenly when Morris was just 20 years old. He was only 40 years old when he passed away. Morris was heartbroken, but he knew that he would do just as all the other oldest sons have done in the family. He took over without a second thought and let his younger brother make his own choice on what he wanted to do. He was a little surprised that he stuck around and helped him in the store. Even though Morris inherited the business, he looked at his brother as an equal in the business.
Morris grew up loved by his parents. He was loved by his grandfather for the first four years of his life before he died. He loved going to work with his father and learning how to do different things to create great pieces of furniture and cabinets. He soaked in as much of the information as he could and fell in love with building things.
He fell in love with a girl named Olivia in school. They were happy together the entire time and he planned on marrying her after graduating. His father thought the world of her even though he had never had the pleasure of meeting her. However, that engagement didn’t happen. Olivia ended up disappearing and Morris had no idea why.
He was heartbroken that she left the way she did without a trace. He tried looking for her for a year after graduating, but then ended up falling in love with another woman named Alex Torres. She was fresh out of the police academy and they were head over heels for each other. His father, however, suddenly became very ill and died just a couple of weeks after Morris and Alex began to date.
Morris was crushed. He relied on Alex’s love and support which she freely gave. He couldn’t rely as much on his own brother, because he was set to graduate that same year from school and he wanted him to be able to focus on what he wanted to do. He proposed to her just a few months later and the engagement didn’t last very long either. It was just a few months later that he married her. By the end of their first year of marriage together, they had their first child, a daughter named Jayden.
Morris had busied himself with work, just as his father and grandfather before him. He and Alex had trouble with pregnancies, having a few miscarriages before they finally had their son Logan three years after their daughter was born. With the birth of their son, tragedy hit Morris again. His wife was working her last shift before leaving for maternity leave when she was shot by a high ranking member of the Irish mob. Doctors were able to safely deliver their son a month early, but his wife died soon after the delivery, having been able to hang on long enough to hold him for a moment.
Morris was distraught again. He busied himself at work when one day a familiar face came into his store, his late wife’s best friend named Meghan Fuller. The two of them quickly hit it off and quickly married within a year. The two of them then went on and ended up having a total of three children together: a girl Jessica, followed by a boy Daniel, and then another little girl named Grace.
After his brother graduated from school though, two years after he graduated himself, he was surprised that he stuck around to help with the store. He figured it was because of their father passing away like he had and he never questioned his brother about it. He was happy to have his family with him. That’s where they are today, running the shop together. Even though it’s officially in Morris’s name, Oscar is an equal in the business. Oscar mostly handles the business side of it all while Morris continues on the legacy of quality furniture.
I was born in Big Sky Montana, my mom's first child, but my dad's third child. He was married before and had my older sister Jayden and my older brother Logan with Alex who was my mom's best friend. She was shot while on the job and they took my brother Logan c-section to save them, but his mom died. My mom stepped in to help out and her and my dad ended up falling in love with one another. I was born a few years later to them. Then came my brother Daniel, and then my sister, Grace. My name is Jessica Maria Delancey.
I grew up hanging around boys with a brother right before me and right after so I didn't have that many girl friends. I was more into the rough tumble stuff instead of dolls and stuff like that I played football and not the touch football full on tackle with the boys and other sports. I wasn't afraid to get hurt. My friends that their dads were in the Wild Wolves got Mini bikes when they turned four. I knew I wasn't going to get one, and I was alright with that. None of my older siblings had. I just took other measures. Often stealing Reid Garard's mini-bike from him to ride around with my friends. He'd pout the whole time. His dad would just laugh, and got him another one so I had one to ride when I was around. Which was quite often.
When my friends started in Motocross I begged dad to let me get a dirt bike! Promising him that I'd be careful! Eventually he caved with my begging and I was eating up that dirt track. At least I waited till after three years of tearing up the track to get hurt. Broke my leg, but as soon as it healed I was right back out there with my friends having the time of my life. I'd come home covered in dirt from head to toe not minding one bit. There was just something exhilarating about riding that I loved!
I grew up with my older brothers friends hanging around and in turn their siblings. Which included my best friend Tyler Garard. Were in the same class, and Daniel who is a year younger hangs with us as well. His brother Hunter whose the same age as Daniel is usually with us too. We love going to the clubhouse with Tyler who always ends up there. Which our older brother Logan hates. He's a Wild Wolf himself like Tyler's older brother and friends with all of them. I can be quite mischievous. I learned that from my parents I have to admit. I get into quite a bit of mischief. Most of the time not getting caught, but maybe a handful of times. I have never ratted anyone else out either as I am quite loyal. I take the punishment on my own.
Starting junior high wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I went out for football as it was something I loved playing. Basketball was alright, but it didn't hold the glory it seemed as football did. Hockey was another story, and I loved it too. I'm still tearing up the track in Motocross with my friends too. I still wasn't really into boys, I just loved being friends with them. Only girls I was friends with were girls that grew up in the club life. They weren't one of those girly girls.
Though I did love tea parties, and every year for my birthday I'd have a tea party where no boys were allowed. Didn't need the teasing from them. The girls didn't seem to mind too much. Thinking it gave them a chance to spend a bit of time with their mother too since their mothers would be invited to the tea party too. I'd have a different kind of party with all of my friends later in the day kicking up my heels.
High school finally came and much to my dismay one of my friends started dating my brother Logan who was a senior. Her name was Angel, and she'd been pretty much a tomboy too growing up. In junior high she'd gotten a little more girly and was a cheerleader. It was like she 'grew' up over the summer from junior high to high school. Boys were noticing her. Just had to be my big brother who caught her too. Guess I'd just have to deal with it.
As for me I didn't see much in boys. Though there was one boy Rade James that stuck out to me. He was a good friend, but not my bestie. That was Tyler Garard. If there was one boy I would consider that would be Rade. Still though the tomboy inside of me wasn't ready to let go and let that happen. So it was strictly friends. Not that he probably even saw me in that way either. I'm a sophomore this year, and going to make the most of it! Maybe I'll override that tomboy inside of me or maybe not.

Rayne sat away from the others somewhat. As it seemed like everyone was paired off but for him. Or they were with their friends. They’d been back from Sturgis for only a few days, and his dad, Rowdy, and Cain were throwing a bash at their place to try and take off some of the stress from what the trip had been. The Oklahoma boys and his dad, and Cain were taking turns getting up on the stage and singing. Oh and even Clyde had gotten up and sang. Their kids called out songs for them to sing, and they’d pick one from one of them. Of course his dad hadn’t asked him. It was mainly his baby brothers and once in a while Rafe or Ryder would yell out one.
Sturgis hadn’t really been any fun and he and his brothers had never gotten that tattoo that he designed. With all hell breaking loose everyone was on high alert the next week so his father and brothers had forgotten about it. He’d slept off and on that next week after what had happened to him. At least the stitches had gotten taken out finally so he didn’t have that discomfort. Though it still aches some, and Stephanie had said it probably would for some time as hard as he had been hit. It itched and bothered him, but he refrained from messing with it not wanting to get it infected as it was healing. The bruises were still there, but not as bad as they had been.
His dad’s attention today was either on Rosanna or his baby brothers most of the time. Feeling tired and left out he got up to head inside to his room. Rafe and Ryder’s attention was on their new found girlfriends. His gaze fell on Athena then who was talking to some of the other kids in the Jr Club, and there were a couple of guys that she was laughing and having fun with. He felt a pang in his heart, and weaved in and out of people to head inside. A stray tear ran down his cheek as he got inside, and he quickly brushed it away. He hissed in his breath at the pain when he had forgotten a moment about his wound. With a deep breath he headed up the stairs when he came up on them.
It wasn’t that much of a walk down the hallway to his room. The pounding of the music and the roar of the crowd outside was inside the house too, and it was giving him a headache. So all he wanted to do was lay down and take a nap. Opening his door a sound caught his attention. Looking up he gasped as there were a couple of guys in the room with their girls having fun on his bed as well as Simon’s bed. He gaped in shock for a few moments, before turning bright red not knowing what to do. He jumped when one of them yelled at him to get out. Quickly he ducked out his head pounding even more and realized then that he wasn’t alone upstairs as he saw others in the hallways too.
Looking up and down the hallways he noticed people going in and out of the theater rooms too. Walking down to his dad’s room he thought he might find some relief in there, but his dad must have locked his door. He tried Rowdy’s and Cain’s finding both of them locked. There was nowhere to go he realized, and he headed back down stairs trying not to cry. That wouldn’t look good in front of the sons around. There was a lot that he had no idea who they were. Including the ones that had been in his room having fun. Feeling lost and really left out he turned at the stairs and a drunk son knocked into him knocking him down. He saw stars when his head hit the corner of a baseboard. Laughter was heard, and then they ignored him. Sitting up he held his hand to his head, and when he pulled away there was blood on his head.
He cringed as his head was killing him even more now. Pulling himself up he hears something crash and shatter somewhere. His vision was a little blurry now, and he felt the blood trickling down his forehead. There had to be somewhere that he could go, and he thought of the garage. Making his way down that way he put the code into the door knowing it had been locked up for the party. His dad was taking any chances with his panhead with someone messing with it. Once the door shut behind him the sound was suddenly gone as the garage seemed to be soundproof. His ears were ringing though from the never ending sound from before.
With an unsteady breath he made his way over to his bike not even fighting the tears now. Sitting on it he laid his head down against the cool gas tank and the sobs came unable to stop them. He wasn’t feeling good at all, and when he lifted his head a while later there was a lot of blood on his bike. Had to be from where he had hit his head. A ride might help him feel better was his thoughts, and he got off pushing his bike out a side door, and around some bikes getting on his bike after making sure the garage was locked back up. If it wasn’t his dad, Rowdy, and Cain not to mention the others with bikes in there would kill him.
Starting his bike he rode down the driveway with the guards not even looking twice at him as there were sons and jr club members coming right and left. Tears were still streaming down his cheeks and there was still blood trickling down so his vision was still a bit blurred. Right now he didn’t care, he just had to get away, and hopefully clear his head. His dad and brothers as well as the others would probably never even notice he was gone. They were having too much fun. A while later he realized that the ride wasn’t helping, and he stopped not even knowing where he was. He hadn’t been this way yet. Only the other direction into town. The throbbing in his head was even worse, and all he wanted was his dad right now.
Turning his bike around he tried to wipe the tears away and the blood, but it wasn’t helping much. With a deep breath he headed back. With his vision obscured, he didn’t see the cloud of dust coming down a dirt road not far away. When he turned on the next road thinking he was going in the right direction the car came out of nowhere. Unable to stop he ran right into it, and he was suddenly flying through the air. The impact of hitting the road knocked him out.
