WELCOME TO BIG SKY
A TOWN BUILT ON HISTORY
A beautiful place such as Big Sky, Montana, didn't come from the easiest of beginnings. However, I'm sure the collective census will agree that everyone wants to make sure their beloved town stays beautiful. Today, that still rings true and would make good ol' Clovis Deveraux proud to see what it has become since the town created where he served as the first mayor of Big Sky! And no matter where you look, you can see the beauty in the town. From the view of the mountains to every store on Main Street, there's always something to see. If you ask me, someone who was born and raised in Big Sky, I'm always seeing something different even after all these years!
Big Sky was founded in 1893 and has seen its fair share of ups and downs, but mostly the city has done nothing but grow into what it is today: 131 years later. Visitors to Big Sky can enjoy the perks of living in a friendly place with access to a top-notch ski resort for their recreational enjoyment. There are plenty of places to shop and eat as well as an amazing theater! There's truly something to always peak your interest while you visit! Locals have the added bonus of enjoying exceptional schools for their children in Kindergarten through 12th grade! Once they're done with their first 12 years of school, they can move on to the award-winning Big Sky University to further their education while staying close to home!
No matter what it is though, Big Sky has it all that one would need or even possibly want! I know that I don't plan on leaving this beautiful place. As I was born and raised here, I aspire to also make sure my children and their children are also born and raised right here in this beautiful piece of Montana!

I'm not afraid to break the rules to get a job done. No I don't always go by the book, but then that's how I was raised. I'm definitely not a morning person so dad usually makes sure I have the afternoon shift. I can be downright surly sometimes especially if I'm having a bad day. I grew up a tomboy and I loved the freedom of riding the backwoods on my four wheeler. I don't take crap from anybody. And if anyone messes with my baby brother there going to get their eyes scratched out.

History
The Morgan family dates back to the very origins of Big Sky Montana. My great grandparents Gideon Morgan and Esther Mae Morgan were one of the six founding families. That was way back on November 20th 1893. Last year we celebrated our 131st Centennial.
One hundred and twenty five years ago the Wild Wolves MC was founded by those same six men in the founding families. My great grandfather was partial to Indian motorcycles, but my grandpa loved his Harley. Dad has both of them in the garage at home. As for Dad he has a Knucklehead that he rides. Though lately it's been far and few in between for him riding it. He sticks to his Sheriff's truck mainly. I have a few Harley's of my own, and an old Indian. I ride them when it's not icy out.
I was born in here in Big Sky Montana. Grew up my whole life here. I love it especially after going to UCLA for college. Couldn't wait to get back to the quiet life. I grew up running through the woods and riding my four wheeler through them, so I know these backwoods like the back of my hand. They were my playground as a child. I learned to swim in the Gallatin river. There's nothing better for a thrill than jumping off a twenty foot cliff into the river.
My great great grandfather the first sheriff of Gallatin County, and it's stayed in the family. So it's definitely in my blood. Though what I wouldn't give to go back in time to the wild wild west and live it myself. Back when the law was how you made it. There wasn't as many rules and regulations back in the day. I'd say my ancestors had it made. Especially out here in the middle of nowhere back then. The building the sheriff's office is in is still the original building. It's been well taken care of by generations of Morgan's.
At one time this place was crawling with Morgan's by blood. Now it's down to my dad, my little brother and me. My dad has two little brothers, but when they left Big Sky for college they got a taste of city life. They only visit maybe once a year or so. Now my mom's brother we only see if we go up in the mountains to visit him. After mom died he stayed up in the mountains and hasn't been back down. Once a month my brother and I take supplies up to him, but rarely ever see him. He and my mom were High Mountain Rangers growing up. It was only by chance that she met up with my dad back in the day. Anyhow she was killed on a routine rescue operation when I was a kid. For some reason my uncle blames himself and dad says he hides up there as a punishment to himself. Though dad doesn't blame him nor do my brother and I. She died doing what she loved doing.
I was only around seven when she did die. So I grew up without the feminine perspective. Needless to say I stayed friends with the boys from Big Sky that I grew up with. Girls were all drama in my opinion. After one episode with a girl I had sorta become friends with that was it. Oh and the part about growing up without a mother or even any aunts. The only awkward time was when I started my period for the first time. Dad turned bright red and got one of his girlfriends to explain it to me. It's never been brought up again.
I lost my virginity to the boy next door when I was sixteen. Growing up in the small town we did no one told us back then about contraceptives. So needless to say I got pregnant. No dad was not a happy camper when I finally told him. After his blow up the boy next door disappeared in middle of the night with his family. Guess they took it literally with dad yelling that he was going to castrate him. After a few arguments with dad and me saying I was going to keep the child he gave in. Unfortunately I lost the baby in my second month of pregnancy. Even then dad got his girlfriend to explain the birds and bees to me and how to use contraceptives. It was one of his girlfriends who took me to the Dr and got me on birth control as well as buying the other stuff for me.
I graduated and headed off to UCLA. Boy was I lost never having been out of Big Sky really. I'd been to a few big towns as we called them in Gallatin county, but I wasn't prepared for LA. I had never flown before either, and when dad and Jake dropped me off at the airport I about chickened out. With a few deep breaths though I finally boarded that plane. Except for a few air pockets it wasn't that bad at all. I became a seasoned flyer with flying back and forth a couple of years for holidays and other stuff.
I had my share of fun while I was there studying Criminal justice. It's where I experimented with the same sex which happened to be my roommate Colette. It was fun, but I definitely enjoyed men more. I didn't sleep around that much either, but there were a few guys during those two years there. Since coming back home it's just been with a few of my friends who know it's just for fun. No strings attached and they can't get pissy with one another. One of these days I'll find the man who can tame me, but for now well I'll keep having fun. I came home because they finally got the Criminal Justice program here in Big Sky so I was able to attend the University here.
It's pointless to say I love my job. Everyone that knows me knows that I do. What can I say it's in my blood. I do what it takes to get the job done even if I have to break the rules to do it. In the end justice is justice. At the end of town there's a family whose been here a few years now that were regularly getting called out to their place. It's more or less a junkyard. The older two have been in and out of prison over the years so we monitor them quite a bit. The younger two were in and out of juvie growing up, but never got sent to prison. There the Overholser family. Grant, Tony, Abe and Sam. The youngest one Sam used to be a man, but had a sex change to a girl somewhere along the way.
Anyhow most of them are wanted in some way or another so to look a blind eye at them they pay a price to us to stay here. Like I said we break the rules and don't bat an eye. As long as they pay the price we don't bring them in. Though we do make them tow the line somewhat especially with the citizens of Big Sky. What they do to break the law doesn't involve them. My brother Jake takes most of the calls, and is gone for quite awhile. I'm beginning to wonder if he has something going on with Sam. That I don't want to know for sure. Especially if it's not Sam that he takes the calls for. Shouldn't have worried about that part as far gone as he was over Satori Vanderson.
They ended up marrying and they gave me a nephew and niece to spoil. Though Satori actually did get me in a frilly gown for her wedding party when they did get married. I was one of her bridesmaids. Not long after they were married she was already pregnant, and I was ecstatic when they had their son Marlon Hank who is now six years old. Three years later they had Sarah Syn. Satori's brother and sister are Marlon's godparents, and I'm Sarah's godmother. Her godfather is one of Jake's friends. I love to spoil them, and I'm always buying them something whether it's their birthday or not. Jake just told us that Tori is expecting again. Oh I just love babies. So I have to admit I am a bit jealous.
I'd become friends with some of the girls in town as I've grown older. They were mainly the old ladies of the Wild Wolves. They didn't put up with drama like the girls back in high school did. So I was good, and have formed some lasting friendships with them. One of my best friends was Sarah Moretti. She was a professor at the college when I attended there. She was my advisor as well, and I loved her. She was the old lady of Woody Moretti. One of the Wild Wolves MC. I was devastated when she told me she had cancer, and I cried for days having heard that.
She didn't survive as the cancer got too aggressive, and she passed away five years ago. Going to her funeral was one of the hardest things I have ever had to do. Her husband Woody went off the deep end drowning his sorrows. Her sons were left to fend for themselves almost. Sarah's sisters Shelly Garard and Stephanie Davis were there for them boys even in their grief. Woody's sister in law Elaine Moretti stepped up to help with them too. Rocko was twenty one when his mother passed away, and Mason was only seventeen. My heart went out to them, and still aches for them.
A few years went by, and Woody's pulled himself out of it finally. He's the president of the Wild Wolves now. We actually started dating awhile ago now. I thought it would feel weird where he was Sarah's husband, but it feels right. So I don't understand it, and I'm just going with the flow. It's not like we are serious or anything. We get together and go out on dates and have fun together. Yes we've slept together, and he's the only one I'm seeing at the present time. His sons actually seem fine with it as well, and I hope they really are. I don't want to come between them and their father. They've been through enough. If your wondering who asked who out he asked me out. I didn't instigate it.
Right now I'm happily living life. Spending a lot of time at the Wild Wolves clubhouse. I've always been a bit more than wild, and yeah I still am. Dad hasn't come to terms with me dating Woody totally yet, but he's coming around. Dad didn't prospect to the club like his father and uncles and grandfather and others before him. He was totally focused on being a sheriff of Gallatin County. He has said at least Woody was a descendent of one of the other founding families. I just smiled at him, and let him talk. Things have been picking up around here lately with it getting close to the skiing season to be opening up. Were going to be more overrun with tourists than we were during the summer months. Now my little brother Jake he did prospect to the MC when he turned eighteen, becoming a fully patched member a year later. Tori's dad was a member of the MC so I'm pretty sure that helped his standings with him.

Rayne sat away from the others somewhat. As it seemed like everyone was paired off but for him. Or they were with their friends. They’d been back from Sturgis for only a few days, and his dad, Rowdy, and Cain were throwing a bash at their place to try and take off some of the stress from what the trip had been. The Oklahoma boys and his dad, and Cain were taking turns getting up on the stage and singing. Oh and even Clyde had gotten up and sang. Their kids called out songs for them to sing, and they’d pick one from one of them. Of course his dad hadn’t asked him. It was mainly his baby brothers and once in a while Rafe or Ryder would yell out one.
Sturgis hadn’t really been any fun and he and his brothers had never gotten that tattoo that he designed. With all hell breaking loose everyone was on high alert the next week so his father and brothers had forgotten about it. He’d slept off and on that next week after what had happened to him. At least the stitches had gotten taken out finally so he didn’t have that discomfort. Though it still aches some, and Stephanie had said it probably would for some time as hard as he had been hit. It itched and bothered him, but he refrained from messing with it not wanting to get it infected as it was healing. The bruises were still there, but not as bad as they had been.
His dad’s attention today was either on Rosanna or his baby brothers most of the time. Feeling tired and left out he got up to head inside to his room. Rafe and Ryder’s attention was on their new found girlfriends. His gaze fell on Athena then who was talking to some of the other kids in the Jr Club, and there were a couple of guys that she was laughing and having fun with. He felt a pang in his heart, and weaved in and out of people to head inside. A stray tear ran down his cheek as he got inside, and he quickly brushed it away. He hissed in his breath at the pain when he had forgotten a moment about his wound. With a deep breath he headed up the stairs when he came up on them.
It wasn’t that much of a walk down the hallway to his room. The pounding of the music and the roar of the crowd outside was inside the house too, and it was giving him a headache. So all he wanted to do was lay down and take a nap. Opening his door a sound caught his attention. Looking up he gasped as there were a couple of guys in the room with their girls having fun on his bed as well as Simon’s bed. He gaped in shock for a few moments, before turning bright red not knowing what to do. He jumped when one of them yelled at him to get out. Quickly he ducked out his head pounding even more and realized then that he wasn’t alone upstairs as he saw others in the hallways too.
Looking up and down the hallways he noticed people going in and out of the theater rooms too. Walking down to his dad’s room he thought he might find some relief in there, but his dad must have locked his door. He tried Rowdy’s and Cain’s finding both of them locked. There was nowhere to go he realized, and he headed back down stairs trying not to cry. That wouldn’t look good in front of the sons around. There was a lot that he had no idea who they were. Including the ones that had been in his room having fun. Feeling lost and really left out he turned at the stairs and a drunk son knocked into him knocking him down. He saw stars when his head hit the corner of a baseboard. Laughter was heard, and then they ignored him. Sitting up he held his hand to his head, and when he pulled away there was blood on his head.
He cringed as his head was killing him even more now. Pulling himself up he hears something crash and shatter somewhere. His vision was a little blurry now, and he felt the blood trickling down his forehead. There had to be somewhere that he could go, and he thought of the garage. Making his way down that way he put the code into the door knowing it had been locked up for the party. His dad was taking any chances with his panhead with someone messing with it. Once the door shut behind him the sound was suddenly gone as the garage seemed to be soundproof. His ears were ringing though from the never ending sound from before.
With an unsteady breath he made his way over to his bike not even fighting the tears now. Sitting on it he laid his head down against the cool gas tank and the sobs came unable to stop them. He wasn’t feeling good at all, and when he lifted his head a while later there was a lot of blood on his bike. Had to be from where he had hit his head. A ride might help him feel better was his thoughts, and he got off pushing his bike out a side door, and around some bikes getting on his bike after making sure the garage was locked back up. If it wasn’t his dad, Rowdy, and Cain not to mention the others with bikes in there would kill him.
Starting his bike he rode down the driveway with the guards not even looking twice at him as there were sons and jr club members coming right and left. Tears were still streaming down his cheeks and there was still blood trickling down so his vision was still a bit blurred. Right now he didn’t care, he just had to get away, and hopefully clear his head. His dad and brothers as well as the others would probably never even notice he was gone. They were having too much fun. A while later he realized that the ride wasn’t helping, and he stopped not even knowing where he was. He hadn’t been this way yet. Only the other direction into town. The throbbing in his head was even worse, and all he wanted was his dad right now.
Turning his bike around he tried to wipe the tears away and the blood, but it wasn’t helping much. With a deep breath he headed back. With his vision obscured, he didn’t see the cloud of dust coming down a dirt road not far away. When he turned on the next road thinking he was going in the right direction the car came out of nowhere. Unable to stop he ran right into it, and he was suddenly flying through the air. The impact of hitting the road knocked him out.
