WELCOME TO BIG SKY
A TOWN BUILT ON HISTORY
A beautiful place such as Big Sky, Montana, didn't come from the easiest of beginnings. However, I'm sure the collective census will agree that everyone wants to make sure their beloved town stays beautiful. Today, that still rings true and would make good ol' Clovis Deveraux proud to see what it has become since the town created where he served as the first mayor of Big Sky! And no matter where you look, you can see the beauty in the town. From the view of the mountains to every store on Main Street, there's always something to see. If you ask me, someone who was born and raised in Big Sky, I'm always seeing something different even after all these years!
Big Sky was founded in 1893 and has seen its fair share of ups and downs, but mostly the city has done nothing but grow into what it is today: 131 years later. Visitors to Big Sky can enjoy the perks of living in a friendly place with access to a top-notch ski resort for their recreational enjoyment. There are plenty of places to shop and eat as well as an amazing theater! There's truly something to always peak your interest while you visit! Locals have the added bonus of enjoying exceptional schools for their children in Kindergarten through 12th grade! Once they're done with their first 12 years of school, they can move on to the award-winning Big Sky University to further their education while staying close to home!
No matter what it is though, Big Sky has it all that one would need or even possibly want! I know that I don't plan on leaving this beautiful place. As I was born and raised here, I aspire to also make sure my children and their children are also born and raised right here in this beautiful piece of Montana!

Full Personality: •
I'm your typical American teenage boy. I love girls and hanging out with my friends. I love life to the fullest usually. It's been hard though since the accident. I'm loyal and trustworthy. Sure I may tell a little white lie now and then, but I don't lie outright. Mom was about to tell if I tried to in the first place so I never did. I love sports and play all of them that I can, but hockey is my favorite closely followed by football. I play my best for all of them though, and don't give up!
I usually shine out there on the field or rink, but I don't do it for the glory that I usually get. It's all for the love of the game by me. Sure I feel great when we win, but it's a team effort. I'm definitely a team player. I feel lousy when we lose, but it's all part of life. Life which I've learned is short and not to be taken for granted. You never know when something is going to happen like it did to my family causing us our heartbreak. I'm still going through the stages of grief, but keep going back to denial.
I was born in Big Sky, Montana to an outlaw biker, and a stay at home mother who loved her kids with everything she had. Not to say that dad didn't of course he loved us, and both of them are always there for us. Good or bad. I wouldn't trade them for anything! Dad grew here in Big Sky with all of his friends. He likes telling us stories of them getting into trouble and other things. The Moretti brothers, Woody and Python, and Thorn Thomas as well as Grady Overholser, he grew up with going through grade school, junior high and high school with them. Also the Garard brothers
My mom grew up in New York City. Well the borough of Brooklyn to be exact. Mom was born one of those famous Astors from New York. Technically she grew up in Manhattan. In a luxury penthouse to be exact. You'd never know today that her and Grams lived a life of luxury the way we live now. We're not poor by any means. Grams came from old money herself, and she helps with the share of the bills here in Big Sky having moved here with us. When mom was in grade school they bought a vacation home here in Big Sky. On one of their trips mom met and fell in love with my dad. Mom was disinherited by her father when she married dad.
When mom was disinherited by her father my grandmother threw her wedding ring at him and divorced him. Sure she says she had loved him, but when his true side had come out she hated him after a while. He had at least given her my mother, and that was more than enough for her. She was always there for mom after that, and we grew up knowing her, but not our grandfather. She had come from old money herself so she definitely wasn't hurting for money. Unfortunately Grams died a couple of years ago when she got hit by a car while walking to her car after grocery shopping. She'd moved here and lived with us helping mom out with us kids. She and dad got along great. There was a piece of us missing after she died.
As for me I had a normal childhood. Well as normal as it can get for a son of an Outlaw biker. I had a mini-bike by the time I was four and tearing up the yards in the neighborhood which pissed a few of the older people off, and they'd come over bitching. Grams would have them having a civil conversation over tea in no time making fast friends with them. Somehow she had a knack for that. When dad got home he just laughed and told me that I was supposed to save it for the track out at the Deveraux's ranch. Which is where we went most of the time then.
I played kids sports growing up too along with Motocross when I was able to start riding in that. When I got to junior high I tried all of the sports. In the end my favorites were Hockey, Football, and Basketball in that order. Wrestling wasn't really my cup of tea, and just running was boring to me. I liked having something in my hands while playing and being a team player. Running is sorta a team sport, but not contact like the sports I was in. My favorites were also more aggressive.
So that made it even more fun! Mom and Grams were there for all of my games and dad when he could make it. My sisters were all pretty much cheerleaders too, so with Rebekah. my 7th grade year they got to watch then, and Blakely when I was in 8th. Freshman year it was Lyra, Serina and Rebekah. I remember going to watch my older brothers play when they were in junior high and high school when I was younger.
Well I just finished up my sophomore year. Was looking forward to a great summer playing Baseball, and riding my dirt bike in Motocross. Also spending time with my family. As with all of us in different activities through the school year and other things it had been hard to do just family stuff. So every Saturday we'd go riding. Never in the same direction. We'd ride a couple of hours away, and then head back after eating somewhere. Things were going great till a month into the summer. We were heading South, and I was in the back riding by mom and Rebecka. Mom had fallen back some as we were coming up on a bridge.
I never knew what hit me. All I remember is the sound of a collision, and then something hitting my bike making it spin out of control. Going over I slid across the pavement, feeling the little rocks dig in hard piercing my skin. I don't know how far. Luckily my bike went one way and me another, but I still hit the cement area of the bridge busting my arm in a couple of places. I had road rash and I was hurt everywhere. I could hear screams, and realized one was me with as much pain as I was in. Someone dropped down beside me, and they were all blurry so I must have had a concussion too. Everything was a bit muffled too so I had no idea what they were saying. Blackness took over thankfully.
I woke up hours later and found myself at some hospital. There were people working on me still, and I tried to fight them just wanting my parents. I was restrained though, and given something. As I was fading out I saw Rebekah in another bed, and she didn't look good at all. That's the last I remember till the next day though I was told I had been in and out all night long. Rebekah and I had been put in the same room, and our other sisters were sitting there too. You could tell that they had been crying. Ella, my oldest sister had gotten up from her chair as well as my other sisters seeing I was awake, and reassured me that I would be alright.
Ella was pushing my hair back, that was starting to get long, out of my face as if trying to comfort me. Rebekah was asleep in the other bed. I wondered where my dad and brothers were as well as mom who would always be there if something happened, but I dozed off again as I was trying to ask. Later in the day when I woke up is when I was told what happened. I broke down sobbing like a baby not caring who saw. Ella held me crying herself as I sobbed into her. I couldn't believe that mom was gone. I wasn't really in any real pain. Just mental pain with how they had me doped up.
When I was finally released from the hospital a week later I joined in helping search for mom. Even though I was told to rest. All of us were helping just wanting to know what had happened to mom! Wanting her back! Life as we knew it was all wrong now with her gone, and I spent a lot of nights crying myself to sleep. I'm sure I wasn't the only one. We all shared tears of pain and frustration as well as grief during the days ahead. Needless to say I didn't get to play baseball that summer nor ride in Motocross. I did ride a Harley that someone had lent me to ride till I was able to get me a new one.
Both Rebekah's and my bikes had been beyond saving. Nothing even really to salvage off of them. It never did feel right riding that loaner. It wasn't mine. The one mom and dad had taken me to get when I turned sixteen. My siblings all going with us, making it a family deal as with all before me. I hadn't asked dad about getting a new one knowing he was having a hard time with all of this. We all were, but she'd been the love of his life. Getting me a new bike was really low on the list right now with everything going on!
It's been two months now, and life feels like it has lost meaning for me with the way things have gone. This isn't home for me anymore. The warmth and joy had been sucked out of this place with mom being taken away from us. It was getting harder and harder to drag myself out of bed in the mornings, and most of the time it was well into the afternoon when I would get up. Then I'd join my friends for a night of drinking around a bonfire down at the beach, and drink the pain away. All of us were spiraling out of control, unable to cope with the loss of mom. None of us really noticed how the others were spiraling either.
My cast was off now, and I could care less. I was starting to welcome the nights when I'd drink the pain away. I was only sixteen though, and I didn't know how much more of this I could take. The reality of nothing was going to be the same again was still trying to sink in. Something’s gotta give before I do.

Rayne sat away from the others somewhat. As it seemed like everyone was paired off but for him. Or they were with their friends. They’d been back from Sturgis for only a few days, and his dad, Rowdy, and Cain were throwing a bash at their place to try and take off some of the stress from what the trip had been. The Oklahoma boys and his dad, and Cain were taking turns getting up on the stage and singing. Oh and even Clyde had gotten up and sang. Their kids called out songs for them to sing, and they’d pick one from one of them. Of course his dad hadn’t asked him. It was mainly his baby brothers and once in a while Rafe or Ryder would yell out one.
Sturgis hadn’t really been any fun and he and his brothers had never gotten that tattoo that he designed. With all hell breaking loose everyone was on high alert the next week so his father and brothers had forgotten about it. He’d slept off and on that next week after what had happened to him. At least the stitches had gotten taken out finally so he didn’t have that discomfort. Though it still aches some, and Stephanie had said it probably would for some time as hard as he had been hit. It itched and bothered him, but he refrained from messing with it not wanting to get it infected as it was healing. The bruises were still there, but not as bad as they had been.
His dad’s attention today was either on Rosanna or his baby brothers most of the time. Feeling tired and left out he got up to head inside to his room. Rafe and Ryder’s attention was on their new found girlfriends. His gaze fell on Athena then who was talking to some of the other kids in the Jr Club, and there were a couple of guys that she was laughing and having fun with. He felt a pang in his heart, and weaved in and out of people to head inside. A stray tear ran down his cheek as he got inside, and he quickly brushed it away. He hissed in his breath at the pain when he had forgotten a moment about his wound. With a deep breath he headed up the stairs when he came up on them.
It wasn’t that much of a walk down the hallway to his room. The pounding of the music and the roar of the crowd outside was inside the house too, and it was giving him a headache. So all he wanted to do was lay down and take a nap. Opening his door a sound caught his attention. Looking up he gasped as there were a couple of guys in the room with their girls having fun on his bed as well as Simon’s bed. He gaped in shock for a few moments, before turning bright red not knowing what to do. He jumped when one of them yelled at him to get out. Quickly he ducked out his head pounding even more and realized then that he wasn’t alone upstairs as he saw others in the hallways too.
Looking up and down the hallways he noticed people going in and out of the theater rooms too. Walking down to his dad’s room he thought he might find some relief in there, but his dad must have locked his door. He tried Rowdy’s and Cain’s finding both of them locked. There was nowhere to go he realized, and he headed back down stairs trying not to cry. That wouldn’t look good in front of the sons around. There was a lot that he had no idea who they were. Including the ones that had been in his room having fun. Feeling lost and really left out he turned at the stairs and a drunk son knocked into him knocking him down. He saw stars when his head hit the corner of a baseboard. Laughter was heard, and then they ignored him. Sitting up he held his hand to his head, and when he pulled away there was blood on his head.
He cringed as his head was killing him even more now. Pulling himself up he hears something crash and shatter somewhere. His vision was a little blurry now, and he felt the blood trickling down his forehead. There had to be somewhere that he could go, and he thought of the garage. Making his way down that way he put the code into the door knowing it had been locked up for the party. His dad was taking any chances with his panhead with someone messing with it. Once the door shut behind him the sound was suddenly gone as the garage seemed to be soundproof. His ears were ringing though from the never ending sound from before.
With an unsteady breath he made his way over to his bike not even fighting the tears now. Sitting on it he laid his head down against the cool gas tank and the sobs came unable to stop them. He wasn’t feeling good at all, and when he lifted his head a while later there was a lot of blood on his bike. Had to be from where he had hit his head. A ride might help him feel better was his thoughts, and he got off pushing his bike out a side door, and around some bikes getting on his bike after making sure the garage was locked back up. If it wasn’t his dad, Rowdy, and Cain not to mention the others with bikes in there would kill him.
Starting his bike he rode down the driveway with the guards not even looking twice at him as there were sons and jr club members coming right and left. Tears were still streaming down his cheeks and there was still blood trickling down so his vision was still a bit blurred. Right now he didn’t care, he just had to get away, and hopefully clear his head. His dad and brothers as well as the others would probably never even notice he was gone. They were having too much fun. A while later he realized that the ride wasn’t helping, and he stopped not even knowing where he was. He hadn’t been this way yet. Only the other direction into town. The throbbing in his head was even worse, and all he wanted was his dad right now.
Turning his bike around he tried to wipe the tears away and the blood, but it wasn’t helping much. With a deep breath he headed back. With his vision obscured, he didn’t see the cloud of dust coming down a dirt road not far away. When he turned on the next road thinking he was going in the right direction the car came out of nowhere. Unable to stop he ran right into it, and he was suddenly flying through the air. The impact of hitting the road knocked him out.
