This is a step-by-step walkthrough of customizing your profile on the board.

Avatar Tab

• This image should be a square image. The height and width should be the same size. We prefer GIFs, but standard images are alright. Size will auto resize to fit to the correct size on the board, but you generally want to look for something at least 200 pixels x 200 pixels.
  
  
• Click Upload/Link on the right side (under the image on the right) and either upload your image or link your image.
  
  
• Make sure you click Save Avatar Changes or it will not save.

Personal Tab

Note: All boxes are not required, but if you fill them all out, it looks better! Also, I marked the ones that are absolutely required and which ones are optional.

• Display Name should be changed to your characters full name (First Middle Last). For example, Drew's full name is Andrew Michael Matheson. Required
  
  
• Gender may be left as is or you may opt to change it to the gender of your character. No matter how many characters you have, it will be what it is set to for each character separately. Optional
  
  
• Location may be set to whereever your character is generally located at. For example, Jacob Garard is the Mayor of Big Sky, Montana and he spends a lot of his time there, so he would put Big Sky, Montana. Optional
  
  
• Most Recent Status is the quote that you can find underneath your name at the top of your profile as well as on your posts. If you have something you want to use as a quote there, feel free to add one in! Optional
  
  
• Signature is something you can use to add to your posts with that character. This will be covered more on the "Signatures" thread of the Rules board located right here. Optional, but preferred
  
  
• Application is where you post the link to your character's application. Required
  
  
• Plotter is where you post the link to your Plotter. Required
  
  
• Tracker is where you post the link to your Thread Tracker. Required
  
  
• Want Ads 1 is where you can post the link to one of the two featured Want Ads for that character. Optional
  
  
• Want Ads 2 is where you can post the link to a second featured Want Ad for that character. Optional
  
  
• Profile Header is a very large image that show up on your Profile page. The dimensions are about 1300x400 pixels. The image will auto resize if you use a different size. Optional, but preferred
  
  
• Large Avatar is the main image everyone sees for your posts. The dimensions should be about 325x600. The image will auto resize if you use a different size and also crop if necessary. Required
  
  
• Nicknames is where you list the nicknames for your character. For example, Mareike's nicknames are Rei and M, so she would list them like Rei, M. Use hypens or say "None" if they don't have one. Required
  
  
• Age is how old your character is. Use a numerical value, such as 21. Required
  
  
• Occupation is what your character does for a living. For example Jacob Garard is the Mayor of Big Sky, Montana, so he would put Big Sky Mayor, but Drew is a student at the high school, so he would put Student. If your character is no longer in school, but doesn't have a job, put Unemployed. Required
  
  
• School Year is what year of school your character is attending. For example, Drew is a Senior. However, if your character graduated, put Graduated, if they dropped out, put Dropped Out, etc. Required
  
  
• Club is where you can put if your character is a part of the Motorcycle Club or in a school club or extracurricular club they're very active in. Just put one main club if there are more than one club they participate in. If they aren't in a club, put hyphens or None. Required
  
  
• Relationship is if your character is single, in a relationship, or married. You can put Single, Widowed, or if they're dating or married, you can put Dating or Married followed by the person's name. For example, Shea Deveraux is married to Snowy Deveraux, so he would put Married Snowy Deveraux, but Thorn Thomas is only dating Delia Oakley, so he would put Dating Delia Oakley. Required
  
  
• Played By is your name or nickname that you use on the board. This is not your character's name. For example, Cindie plays Jacob Garard, so she would put Cindie. Required

Make sure you click Save Changes or your changes will not be saved.


Settings Tab

• Forum Theme is where you can choose which theme you'd like to see if there are other themes available to view.
  
  
• Enable Drafts is where you can enable Proboards to periodically save what you are posting. This can save you from a lot of headaches if something goes wrong after submitting your post.
  
  
• Posting Default is how your posts show up when you click the reply button. Preview shows how it most likely will look once it's posted. BBCode shows the post with the coding. If you're not comfortable with coding, don't worry, the admins will gladly help walk you through it when it is required to use, such as posting a character application! Just remember, codes such as the character application require you to not only paste the code on the BBCode tab, but also submit the post for it to look right!
  

  Note: If you use BBCode as your posting default, you will have an option to add a default code for all your posts that is handy to use if you like to use Posting Templates.

As always, make sure you click Save Changes or your changes will not be saved.

The other tabs aren't needed.
