WELCOME TO BIG SKY
A TOWN BUILT ON HISTORY
A beautiful place such as Big Sky, Montana, didn't come from the easiest of beginnings. However, I'm sure the collective census will agree that everyone wants to make sure their beloved town stays beautiful. Today, that still rings true and would make good ol' Clovis Deveraux proud to see what it has become since the town created where he served as the first mayor of Big Sky! And no matter where you look, you can see the beauty in the town. From the view of the mountains to every store on Main Street, there's always something to see. If you ask me, someone who was born and raised in Big Sky, I'm always seeing something different even after all these years!
Big Sky was founded in 1893 and has seen its fair share of ups and downs, but mostly the city has done nothing but grow into what it is today: 131 years later. Visitors to Big Sky can enjoy the perks of living in a friendly place with access to a top-notch ski resort for their recreational enjoyment. There are plenty of places to shop and eat as well as an amazing theater! There's truly something to always peak your interest while you visit! Locals have the added bonus of enjoying exceptional schools for their children in Kindergarten through 12th grade! Once they're done with their first 12 years of school, they can move on to the award-winning Big Sky University to further their education while staying close to home!
No matter what it is though, Big Sky has it all that one would need or even possibly want! I know that I don't plan on leaving this beautiful place. As I was born and raised here, I aspire to also make sure my children and their children are also born and raised right here in this beautiful piece of Montana!

ansym texted Ryot as soon as he got out of the hospital on Monday right away when he was seated in his dad's truck. His dad was finally getting to take him home. Ransym knew Ryot was still at school for the day, but he couldn't wait to see her! "Just got released. Heading home now!" He typed up and sent the text to her, before sitting back in the car. He must have fallen asleep on the way home because he woke up later in his bed at home. Blinking he realized his dad must not have woken him up, and just carried him up to his room. Quickly looking at his phone seeing school had been out for a while. He groaned wondering if she had come over, and he was asleep yet again when she had come. “Did I sleep through you coming over again?” He texted her, and he jumped slightly hearing a phone get a text. Sitting up quickly the room spun on him. With a groan he laid back on the bed hoping the room quit spinning soon. He hadn’t eaten since lunch but it was definitely swirling in his stomach now, not happy.

Ryot immediately went to the Falcon's home to meet Ransym as soon as school let out. She was a little annoyed that Ransym was sleeping yet again when he knew that they were going to be chatting, but then again, the annoyance dissipated quickly because she knew he had gotten hurt really badly. She made her self comfortable, sitting in the big bean bag that he had in his room while she played a mystery game on her phone as she waited for him to wake up. When her phone went off signaling a text, she looked up immediately, seeing how he had jumped up but laid right back down groaning. She set her phone to the side and got up, walking over to the bed and sitting down on the edge of it. "Well, I figured you'd be smart enough to take it easy after just getting out of the hospital," she teased him.

ansym finally felt the earth shifting back to normal when he heard her voice. A smile came over him, but he didn’t dare move just yet. “I heard your phone get the text I sent. I just wanted to see you.” He grumbled, catching sight of her. A sigh of relief escaped him. “You are really beautiful.” He said as his grin turned into a lopsided smile the way he was looking up at her. “I missed you.” He admitted as they usually did a lot together, but with him being stupid and running out in front of that car had taken their time away. Gingerly he tried to sit up, but his head swam again as soon as he lifted it so he gave up and just laid there for a few moments with his eyes tightly closed, and cursing inwardly. This wasn’t how this moment was supposed to be going! Not when he just wanted to talk to her. Wait he realized he really did want to kiss her again, but that would just going to have to wait. "Oh quit you know you just want to kiss her again!" He chided himself not realizing he was saying it out loud.

Ryot let him speak, complimenting her, but thinking he was still losing his mind. His smile was pretty contagious, bespecially when he smiled hat her with that lopsided one. However, she kept her face straight, not giving into it. She was glad he was alright, and she did miss him too. When he chided himself out loud, she couldn't help the smirk come across her face. Once she was able to school her face back to a straight face, she finally spoke and teased, "So, you didn't regret kissing me after you tried to dictate what I was going to say when Paul asked me to the dance?" She was perched at the edge of his bed as she looked down at him. She would stop him if he tried to get up again because he obviously still needed to rest.

ansym eyebrows shot up as his eyes opened wide hearing her. Wait he hadn’t said that outloud had he? Oh great he must have. It took him a few moments to recover from the shock. “Oh god no I don’t regret kissing you at all. That was the best shock of my life. It zapped me into waking up! I just froze cause I didn’t want to lose our friendship that we’ve always had! Afraid that this will totally screw that up.” He confessed to her. He wasn’t one to lie, and he never would. Especially to her. Okay maybe a little white lie now, and then, but this wasn’t one of those times! He reached up trying to catch her hand to pull her down beside him, but when he looked down like that he was seeing double so he probably wasn’t grabbing the right hand with his vision. Looking back up at her as he grasped at air he sighed as she was in focus once again radiating her beauty.

Ryot inhaled a deep breath, giving her a moment to collect her thoughts. "Rans, you were screwing it up because of how you ran away after you kissed me. I've been waiting for you to kiss me since we were 13! I figured you finally did it and then realize you didn't like it, so yeah, I was pissed at you!" She told him honestly. She had no idea what he was trying to grab, seeing that he was pretty much grabbing air, so she instinctively took his hand and squeezed it in her own. She chuckled slightly then and said, "Hell, I was so mad that I went and ranted to Rebel. Of course, River was right there to listen to it all too. He told me he called you an idiot for me."

ansym was struck dumb for a few moments hearing that she’d been waiting for him to kiss her since she was thirteen. He let out a pent up breath realizing what a fool he had been. “Well it could have happened in a better way, but it happened.” He felt her take his hand in his, and he tugged at her pulling her down so she lay half on him, and half off of him. He sucked in his breath as he liked that feeling. “Yeah he said you called me an idiot and I needed to talk to you, before you got me. So I didn’t hesitate, and ran to catch you before you left. Didn’t even see that car coming that hit me. Thought that only happened in movies. I could have done without that, making me look more like a fool.” He pouted slightly. “Can I really kiss you now?” He asked, looking her in the eye as close as she was to him now. If that wasn’t what she wanted then he’d force himself to wait. His stitches were on the back of his head, but if he kept it still he wouldn’t be busting any.

Ryot shook her head when he confirmed the River really did call him an idiot for her. She shook her head again hearing him about he car. "Yeah, I wasn't going to go that dramatically in kicking your ass, but it did save me some trouble in having to do it, so there's that," she told him with a smirk. "I'd rather you get better and have your head healed up to know that you are kissing me because you haven't lost your mind," she admitted to him, relaly not wanting him to heal up and then realize it was actually all a complete mistake. She wasn't going to admit it to him, but she was scared that was going to happen.

ansym groaned slightly, hearing her. “Yeah I took care of it for you.” He licked his lips, and frowned hearing her go on. “I get the stitches out next week, but I can’t wait that long!” He whined knowing he’d go crazy waiting for a real kiss from her. He shook his head slightly glad that it didn't hurt anymore like it did at first. “Oh I lost my head a long time ago. Remember I kissed you before I gave myself a concussion and split my head open. That was the right decision though. I want you to be mine. To spend the rest of our lives together!” He was speaking from the heart, and he wanted to wipe that smirk off of her face with a real kiss, but he wasn’t about to kiss her till she gave him permission to do so this time!

Ryot narrowed her eyes when he said that he kissed her before his concussion. "Yeah, you did, but then you ran off like an idiot, remember?" She told him, not going to let him live that down, even if he was healing and gotten really hurt for being an idiot for running out in front of that car. At least the car was going slow enough that it didn't kill him or hurt him worse, but still. "And you know what, as payback, you do get to wait," she said with a smirk again. "When your stitches come out, then you can kiss me all you want," she clarified.

ansym let out a groan hearing her bring it up again about him running. Somehow he had a feeling she, and probably a lot of others, weren’t going to let him forget about this. Instead of answering her he just gave her a dirty look. Though how could he when he’d touched her lips with his. A pout formed on his lips hearing her say he had to wait. “But…but.” He tried to plead with her, but he didn’t feel like it would do any good. He breathed in deeply, taking in her scent. One he wanted ingrained in him. Even though it would probably drive him crazy when she wasn’t with him. He pondered it over hearing her bargaining with him. “All I want?” He asked wondering if he could wait a whole week though. It was all he could do right now not to just pull her in even closer, as if that were possible, and just kiss till his heart was content.

Ryot raised an eyebrow when he started to pout and then attempt to argue, but when he decided against it, she forced herself not to smirk at him, since she was getting her way even though he wasn't happy about it. She did think he was pretty cute when he pouted like he was though. She brought her free hand over and used one of her fingers to lightly brush a lock of his hair from his forehead. "Yes, as much as you want. Trust me, I won't complain either unless you just eata big meal with a lot of garlic in it," she told him, with a small smile. "I'm just glad you've come to your senses now and decided to show the slightest bit of interest in me as more than just a best friend. I thought that would never happen!" She admitted to him.

ansym felt a tingle run through him when she reached up and brushed his hair back. He sucked in his breath. “Alright then.” He reluctantly agreed with her. “I think I’ve felt this way for quite awhile now, but was just afraid to go for it.” He wasn’t going to lie to her about it. “I just didn’t want to lose you.” He admitted still afraid he might if he screwed something up with her. She was too important to him to even think that way though! He knew everything about her, and if there was something he didn’t he’d find out sooner or later. Who else was he going to get to dress up with him as pirates and cosplay? He couldn’t imagine anyone else. He was breathing in her scent again when his mother’s voice sounded like nails on a chalkboard.
“What do we have here?” Solstice walked into the room and crossed her arms. Cobalt had to run to the Ranger’s station as they’d gotten a call and needed him. If their son needed something the staff would see to him. “You two are a little too close.” She walked over beside the bed and reached in her designer sweater pocket and pulled a couple of packs of condoms sitting them on his bedside table. “Since you're interested in girls now you best be suiting up. I gave your father enough kids. I definitely don’t need any grandkids!” She smirked seeing her son turning bright red. She turned and left the room then.

Ryot gave him a small smile when he admitted what he was. Her expression fell for only a split second at the sound of Ransym's mother's voice, but before it could even be noticed by anyone, except maybe Ransym since he knew her too well, she looked at Solstice with a straight face. She never liked the woman, but she played nice when it came to her to keep the peace at their house. She was just grateful she hadn't had to interact with her very often. And no surprise, this was one of those moments that proved why with her saying the wrong things and acting as if she was better than everyone else. She watched the woman leave the room before she shook her head and looked back down at Ransym, seeing how embarrassed he was. "Don't listen to her," she told him and placed her hand on his chest as she squeezed the hand she was holding with her other hand."Now, where were we?" She prompted, urging him to focus back on their conversation.

ansym groaned and felt like hitting his head back against the bed, but refrained not wanting to mess up his stitches, and for his head to start hurting again. That he didn’t need right now. He closed his eyes for a few moments after his mother left. There was no way he was ready for that step in any relationship. “I wonder if River has as much trouble as I do with her.” He mumbled planning on asking his brother about it later. His siblings should all be home by now, but it was quiet in the house. Though usually it was if their mother was home, and demanded it. “Sorry.” He grumbled to Ryot, feeling her hand on his chest and the other one squeezing the hand still holding hers. When she asked where they were in their conversation he frowned. “I have no idea anymore.” He said as he was already getting tired again. There was no way he was falling asleep on her again. Not after three days of being in the hospital, and asleep every time she had come to see him. He wanted to savor this moment even though his mother had put a damper on it.
